My journey into nutrition began when I was 140 lbs and a size 11. I felt terrible & started to pursue a healthy lifestyle! Here is a before & after shot, though I don’t have pictures of me at my heaviest, I avoided the camera. I went from vegetarian, to vegan, to raw & never felt better! I also avoided all fast food, sugar, & gluten!
Reishi Mushroom! A miraculous fungus :) Ok! This will be my first health post for starting off the year of health project!!! About 2 years ago, I walked through a tick nymph nest on our farm & got about 100 tick bites causing a massive infection & slowly destroying my body. It began manifesting intensely in my digestive system & baffling doctor after doctor. Since finding out that I had lyme & coinfections in my blood stream that have been impairing my liver function & immune system, I have had to really start to nourish my vital organs in a very aggressive & new way. This includes an intense daily detox regime, a detailed journal of my day to day life & food intake, & starting many supplements to repair damage & kill off bad body bugs. I am seeing results after only three months & I would love to share with you some powerful information. I like to start my day with a cup of Reishi mushroom tea. This can be found online & at health food stores. If you can get a decaf version, that is your best bet because caffeine exhausts your adrenal glands. This mushroom is a great detox agent that helps flush out toxic waste from your body. Also not only is a total immune booster, it helps with fibroids of the uterus, fighting free radicals, & is a powerful antioxidant! If you add a slice of lemon to your brew, you get a healthy dose of vitamin C to aid in your detoxification & your immune systems strength against infection! Good for your skin, good for your body, & in my personal opinion, i think a nice cup of hot tea in your favorite mug is excellent for the soul!
